IAEE 2025 WEBINAR SERIES

Please join us for the fourth webinar in a series on energy transition. Each session in the series will deliver focused presentations and a moderated discussion of international implications. Time will be extended for questions from attendees, too. Registration is required, and presentation slides will be made available to attendees. This session will be focused on "The European Green Deal and Challenges on the Ground" (May 14, Prof. Hans Auer, Head of the Energy Economics Group (EEG) at Technische Universität Wien, Austria). This series is an exclusive opportunity for IAEE members.

Program Description: The European Green Deal, unveiled on December 11, 2019, outlines a series of policy initiatives aimed at making the European Union (EU) climate neutral by 2050. To support this goal, the European Commission has introduced proposals to align the EU's climate, energy, transport, and taxation policies with the target of reducing net greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030, compared to 1990 levels. Prof. Hans Auer will explore the European Green Deal and address some of the most pressing economic, energy, and environmental challenges facing European nations in 2025.
