Prerequisites
Good first degree in Economics or an equivalent qualification. However, in certain cases, applicants who have a joint degree in economics and a related discipline, but who have had a wide involvement in the energy field may also be considered. Graduates in mathematics, engineering, and science may also be considered.

Purpose
To provide a thorough understanding of economic and policy issues affecting national and international energy industries and provide a thorough preparation for research work and policy making.

Contents
Microeconomics, Quantitative Methods for Economists, Econometrics, Energy Economics & Technology, General Principles of Regulation, Natural Resources, Energy and the Environment, Petroleum Economics, Competition and Regulation in Energy and Water.
