Chinese Committee for Energy Economics of IAEE (hereinafter to be referred as CCEE) is a non-profit professional organization comprised of individuals from academia, government and business, etc. with a representative for receipt of service and its principal office in Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEP), Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), China.
CCEE was founded on May 16, 2009, at Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEP), Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), Beijing. More than 60 individuals have joined the CCEE till now, most of them come from academies or universities, and many have published some influent papers about energy economics issues in international journals. Professor Yi-Ming Wei (Dean of the School of Management and Economics of BIT, also the Director of CEEP-BIT) was elected as the president of CCEE. Any person with an active interest in energy economics is eligible for membership in this organization.
CCEE is dedicated to provide for the mutual association of persons interested in energy economics in order to create a forum for professional discussion, provide a means of professional communication and exchange of experience and ideas among persons interested in energy economics; promote professional communication among persons interested in energy economics from different countries or regions, and to educate the community on energy economic issues. CCEE hold seminars and conferences each year, which cover energy and climate change topics.
CEEP was founded in 2006 as a joint center of Institute of Policy & Management, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Research Institute of Economics and Technology, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). In 2009, CEEP joined Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), a national key university in China. Focused on the important energy and climate change issues, CEEP conducts research on energy & environmental strategy and policy. CEEP contributes to the application and development of energy economics, energy environment, energy policy and related management science. It provides scientific basis on energy strategy and policy for governmental decision making and provides the development strategy, planning and management for energy companies. CEEP also serves as a professional educational center in energy economics, energy policy and management, and serves as a platform for international communication in the area of energy and environmental policy research.
